A beautiful location on Porters Creek called for a unique design to fit the Owners' needs and desires, while being sure to capture the wonderful views.  This Art Studio, Office, and Workshop integrates the octagon theme of the Pavilion (see Porters Creek Pavilion) on the other side of the house and the octagon accents on the principal residence. With its dramatic tall window sets facing the water, the main octagon room provides stunning views while evoking images of bay lighthouses.  The two-car-sized workshop was rotated at 45 degrees to the main body to provide more interest and angles, and to better fit the buildable area of the lot.  Above the workshop is an office area with bathroom and shower which can double as a guest room when friends and family stay.  Because of its unique design and interesting details, this project has become one of my favorites.  These photos are taken prior to final landscaping.
